Benefits of using grapefruit seed extract on Candida

Grapefruit seed extract is a natural antibiotic alike garlic and tea-tree oil. It can be used to combat candida, but as with any antibiotics it could also kill off some of the good bacteria. It is prudent to take probiotics or eat yoghurt during the time you are taking grapefruit seed extract for treatment of candida.

Directions:
To take grapefruit seed extract, follow the directions on the packaging. It is most powerful if it is taken 3 times a day. It can be taken after a meal if it's in capsule form. If taking the liquid, this needs to be diluted and it tastes bitter. Dilution could be achieved by mixing it with carrot juice, vegetable juice or even grapefruit juice.

Grapefruit seed extract can be applied to athlete's foot as a natural cure. For this, take 10 drops per 1/2 (half) ounce of water and apply with cotton wool.

Other Uses
I have a friend who uses it on his toothbrush each night to brush his teeth as it can help prevent periondotosis and caries.

It can help with allergies.

It has also been known to treat malaria and can be used as a nasal disinfectant.
