Yogurt vs. Candida

Oh yes, something that candida doesn't like is yogurt or even yoghurt - depending where you live of course for the spelling. Yogurt is effective at creating more 'good bacteria' which could eventually outweigh the 'bad bacteria', but only in 'cultured' yogurt.

In the past, I have made my own, and then I know that it's fully of 'good stuff'. It's surprisingly easy to make.

How to make yogurt

One small pot of natural yogurt
1 pint of warm milk
A plastic sealable container

Add the yogurt to the warm milk and mix thoroughly. Cover the container and put it in a warm place. As I live in the tropics, I just leave mine in the kitchen on the side, but you could put it in the sun (if you live somewhere cooler) or you could put it in the airing cupboard or near a radiator.

The yogurt will multiply over the course of about 8-12 hours and you'll end up with fairly thick yogurt. I actually make mine with about 1.5 pints or more, and have quite a runny consistency. It tastes delicious with honey, which will not do your candida any harm whatsoever.

Yogurt is effective for oral thrush, yeast infections, and any candida related problems. Some ladies even put yogurt onto a tampon to clear their yeast infections, personally I have found that eating garlic is a lot more beneficial in times of need. Crush it and add it to water and drink. But it could be that you need a thorough cleanse of your body (if you are getting recurring yeast infections / thrush). For this I recommend candida info.
